Executive Assistant to the Head of IT @ MBRDI



Job Description



The Executive Assistant is responsible for assisting the Head of IT @ MBRDI with developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining corporate strategic initiatives and driving the digital transformation journey of Mercedes-Benz Tech India (IT@MBRDI). Reporting directly to the CIO, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the CIO. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the key stakeholders of the office – IT ExCom members, MBRDI ExCom, key Mercedes-Benz colleagues, senior management teams within Mercedes-Benz and external stakeholders alike; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts, and oversees special projects. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. The Executive Assistant will be responsible to work closely and effectively with the CIO to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. He/She should Act as a "barometer," having a sense of the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the CIO updated.



Roles & Responsibilities



1. Strategy


· Facilitating and driving key strategic initiatives through inception phase.


· Establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities and translating them into a comprehensive strategic plan.


· Monitoring the execution of the strategic plan.


· Translating strategies into actionable and quantitative plans


· Initiate recurring and rigorous research on key business topics to identify organization’s fitment to strategic frameworks and benchmark data on industry trends


2. Portfolio Performance Management


· Facilitate/coordinate various management forums and follow-up with stakeholders towards timely closure of action items.


· End to end responsibilities from protocol management to follow-up of action items from management office.


· Ability to amplify weak signals and channelize issues and escalations as and when needed.


· Planning the agenda for ITLS meetings and strategy workshops, documenting action items & follow up for closure


3. Project Management


· Overseeing key projects from CIO’s office.


· Responsibility and accountability for meeting the assigned project goals within the timelines.


· Conceptualize programs and facilitate their implementation by collaborating with Business Units and Corporate Functions.


4. Communication


· Create a clear strategic roadmap and ensure the effectiveness of the communication team.


· Preparing and formatting information for internal and external distribution


· Manage the flow of information to members of the leadership team & other management forums of MB Tech



Qualifications and Experience



· Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail


· Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders


· Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability


· Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions


· Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives


· The incumbent should have a work experience in the range of 10-15 years


· Excellent written and verbal communication skills


· Ability to moderate & drive high impact discussions with stakeholders from within the organization and international counterparts


· Background/working knowledge of corporate functions such as finance, HR, facilities, etc. is an added advantage
