DELIVERY DRIVER
The role of the delivery driver at Braehead Foods is key to the business as you will deliver a range of products to hotels & restaurants . This job is a varied role which includes making deliveries and collections, completion of paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.
This role is full time, working 4/7 days. The shift pattern is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, starting at 02:00am. Goods will be dropped of at an arranged location near to you; Dundee, Perth or Forfar in order that we run a smooth service.
Rate of pay is £11.25 per hour, plus bonus scheme of £500 per month and remote working valued at £2,600 per annum, plus overtime over 40hrs. OTE is £29,000.
Responsibilities/ Key result areas:
- Collect vehicle and goods.
- Complete daily safety checks of Braehead Foods vehicle
- Plan the route and prioritise workload so time commitments are met
- Delivering correct orders to customers
- Greeting customers, getting signatures to confirm goods received and giving invoices to customers
- Working with customer service and procurement to arrange credit notes for incorrect orders
- Updating delivery records
- Returning undelivered items to the warehouse
- Accurate recording of working and driving hours to comply with road transport regulations
- Ensuring temperatures are recorded at delivery point
- Van is washed inside and out at the end of the shift
Criteria:
- Full UK driving license, with no more than 3 points on license
- Knowledge of driving in the area is an advantage but not necessary
- Previous multi-drop experience
- Ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Lifting and carrying skills
- Ability to complete record sheets and paperwork
- Flexible approach to working as overtime may sometimes be required
