Job Summary

The Access To Medicine (AtM) Unit Lead in close collaboration with the key stakeholders is responsible for ensuring undisrupted access through the development and implementation of sustainable, innovative access models, aimed at broadening access to Takeda’s innovative life-changing treatments and ensuring patients are able to complete their full prescribed course of treatment while maintaining and improving standards of care.

Be responsible for developing the value proposition of Takeda’s innovative life-changing treatments, and disseminating the value messages to relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Drive sustainable patient access

  • Creating and implementing a comprehensive strategy to drive sustainable patient access to Takeda medicines for complex and rare diseases.

  • Developing a clear value proposition of Takeda’s innovative life-changing treatments and disseminating the value message to relevant stakeholders.

  • Continuously maximizing patient benefit by improving awareness, diagnosis, and standard of care, and optimizing the duration of treatment.

  • Ensuring product availability in the market through excellence in Key Account Management and Tender Management.

  • Working close with Local, Area, and Regional teams, ensures the development and execution of industry-leading Innovative Value Access Strategies and Patient Assistance Programs for Takeda’s innovative life-changing treatments.

  • Develop and implement impactful stakeholder management plans/strategies at the overlap of Market Access and Public Affairs and drive execution of these plans/strategies.

  • Identify and evaluate risks/opportunities policy developments and the latest decisions that may have an impact on existing Takeda treatments.

  • Collaborating with other internal stakeholders contributing to Takeda processes such as Budget launch readiness/brand plans, business reviews, etc., and providing them with required information/assumptions as well as ensuring cross-functional alignment Collaborate with external stakeholders as the lead of business operations including participating in and managing tenders, overseeing distributors as well as tracking and monitoring reach, impact, and sustainability of access programs

  • Liaison with the Regional and Global teams, as well as the development of Vietnam AtM capacity, in order to ensure long-term patient access to our Innovative AtM portfolio.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in health economics, medicine, economic or scientific education

  • 5-8 years experience in Pharm/Biotech company

  • Proven capability in managing Key Accounts, tender management, and experience in implementing patient assistance program

  • Experience in Project Management is a bonus

  • Strategic and analytical thinking

  • Able to develop models for quantification of scenarios and risk eg financial models, economic/clinical models

  • Excellent external communication skills to influence and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders

  • Experience and maturity to challenge and intervene with colleagues and leaders

  • Strong ability and experience working in a complex matrix organization

  • Excellent communication skills required, written and verbal (presentations)

  • Good conduct of English language skills
