CFO/COO [Nigeria]


 

We are looking for a highly skilled CFO/COO who will play a critical role in the company's strategic direction and overall management. As a key executive team member, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial and operational aspects. This dual role requires a vibrant individual who can effectively manage financial strategies, drive operational efficiency, and contribute to the company's growth and profitability.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

· Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's growth objectives.

· Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.

· Monitor and analyse key financial indicators, identify trends, and recommend proactive measures to optimize financial performance.

· Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure to ensure adequate liquidity and efficient use of resources.

· Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

· Provide multiple departments’ strategic leadership and operational oversight, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

· Collaborate with department heads to streamline processes, improve productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction.

· Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

· Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and automate manual processes.

· Monitor operational metrics, analyse performance data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

· Identify and assess potential risks to the company's financial and operational health.

· Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

· Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to financial and operational risk management.

· Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

· Provide guidance and development opportunities to team members.

· Establish clear goals and performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback.

· Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that attracts and retains top talent.

· Collaborate with Management to develop and execute the company's strategic plans and initiatives.

· Assess market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

· Evaluate potential partnerships, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.

· Present financial and operational updates to management

· Work with the CEO/MD and other executives to ensure that the company's financial and operational strategies are aligned with its overall mission and objectives.

· Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Required Qualifications and Experiences

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).

· Proven experience (3+ years) in a senior leadership role, preferably as a CFO or COO, in a similar industry or sector.

· Strong financial acumen with a track record of financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.

· Extensive knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial regulations.

· Experience in managing and improving operational processes, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including board members, investors, and business partners.

· Demonstrated ability to drive change, promote innovation, and deliver results.
