Victoria Women’s Transition House (VWTH) is looking for a casual, on-call Shelter Support Worker to join our growing team.
We are a non-profit charity, providing emergency shelter, counselling and support services for women of all ages, with or without children, fleeing from intimate partner violence and abuse. We are a vibrant, collaborative community looking for exceptional people to help us grow as we work towards our mission of ending intimate partner violence.

The Housekeeper is responsible for the daily cleaning tasks in the Shelter. They provide assistance to staff and residents by managing routine cleaning jobs and seasonal household cleaning.
Shift:
This is a casual on-call position with the possibility of up to 20 hours per week over the next 3 months.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one month’s recent janitorial or cleaning experience is required.
This position supports an essential service working with direct client contact and requires union membership, satisfactory completion of a criminal records search, TB test and Standard First Aid Certificate.
Wage and Benefits:
This is a union position and starts at $20.84 plus a percentage in lieu of vacation/stat holiday pay.
