Joining Longhurst Group will provide you with an opportunity to bring your existing knowledge of leasehold management or offer you an opportunity to learn more about all aspects of this area of social housing. Collaborating with other teams in this role you will have the opportunity to gather or build on your experience of service charge budgets, low level arrears and general leasehold matters.

You’ll be supporting with, monitoring, and controlling the recovery of rent arrears and service charges with the aim of having the best possible performance and lowest possible debt outstanding to the Group. This will require you to be a great communicator, confident in building rapport and an accomplished administrator. You will be competent in working with multiple caseloads and managing customer queries, able to always deliver customer centric support.

In this role you’ll be a point of contact dealing with leaseholders’ complaints and queries about the services we provide. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit our sites where required, providing a visible presence, and assisting with any concerns. The work you complete will add value and help to assist in investigating and responding to disputes arising from rents and service charge arrears by helping to prepare cases for court.

A current knowledge of leasehold or housing legislation is desirable, however more importantly someone who is eager to learn and train on the job and looking for career development in a variety of housing matters is welcomed. In addition to the above you will also help to monitor customer satisfaction through using surveys, the above and working with this survey information will ensure your work directly helps to improve the lives of our customers.

This role is offered on a permanent 36.25hr per week basis. Whilst primarily based working from home this role will require occasional travel to the Rushden office for training and meetings and occasional travel across the groups geography as and when required.
