Project Overview:
The CPC Taichung Phase III LNG import terminal project scope is to deliver two 180,000 m3 Full Containment LNG Tanks Taiwan, which will become Taiwan’s largest storage tanks ever built when completed.
Position Overview:
The Piping and Mechanical Lead Construction Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and directing operations within the Piping and Mechanical function. The Piping and Mechanical Lead Construction Supervisor is responsible for ensuring scope of the work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with the project safety standards, the project quality standards and the design/specifications as well as performing general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
What you bring::
- Supervise Subcontractor Piping Installation and Structural Steel Installation SOW for 2 x 180,000m3 LNG Tanks with Std Battery Limit Tie-in to Terminal interface. Support QA and HSE requirements in order to facilitate construction.
- Resolving Piping and Mechanical System’s issues, within and across systems. This includes locating and diagnosing trouble in mechanical equipment, components, and systems, developing technical solutions, preparing change documentation.
- Providing technical guidance including interpreting new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data and interpreting designs, drawings, and O & M manuals.
- Reviewing engineering and vendor documents for Commissioning and startup requirements, notifying project personnel of problem areas, and providing help developing recommended solutions.
- Coordinating assigned Commissioning and startup activities between project engineering, construction, specialty staff groups, clients, and vendors, as applicable. This includes Identifying and helping to resolve issues resulting from conflicting requirements and unsuitability.
- Development of documentation for system testing and turnover including scoping of drawings and Teamworks, participating in development of the project manual, preparing system pre-commissioning and commissioning testing procedures and integrated system/unit test procedures and other similar required documents
- Provide input to preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for maintaining equipment once it has been commissioned.
- Prepare detailed Piping and Mechanical commissioning plans for assigned project system commissioning activities, integrate all discipline activities into these plans; Provide input and updates to project controls as required to maintain accuracy and progress of project schedules.
- Participate in system turnover walkdowns, both Construction and Client turnovers; initiate, track and resolve punch list items for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Provide technical direction to craft professional as required to perform assigned tasks.
- Provide support to Insulation subcontractor for integration and coordination of piping insulation system in respect to tested piping systems availability.
- Perform other duties as directed in support of project activities.
About you:
- A recognized degree in a engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college and/or extensive progressive work experience in the Low Temperature and Cyrogenic Tank Systems.
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiently. Ability to use Aconex proficiently. Working knowledge of Teamworks.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, and construction experience related to Low Temperature and Cyrogenic Tank Systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
